2021 COVID Protocols for The Fitness Challenge Triathlon

Face Coverings: Athletes will be required to wear face coverings before and after competition. Staff and volunteers will be required to wear face coverings throughout the entire event.
 
Packet Pick-up: Will take place following proper “social distancing” guidelines and city protocols. Masks will be required for staff and athletes.
Race morning packet pick up will be limited but available with social distancing.

Sanitizer: Hand sanitizer stations will be available and placed throughout the venue. Additional signage will be displayed reminding everyone to use them.

Run Aid Stations: Single use 4 -8 oz water bottles will be available at aid stations. Volunteers at Aid station will wear Mask and Gloves

Transition:  Bike racks will be spaced out and number of bikes per rack will be limited to meet social distance guidelines in place at time of race.

Start: Wave start will be used to meet social distance guidelines in place at time of race. There will be trash cans at the start where participants can dispose of their masks as they start.

Timing Chips:  Post-race: Athletes will be required to remove their own chip and place in sanitized bin near finish line.

Finish Line Tape: Eliminating finish line tape to avoid cross-contamination.

Finisher Medals: Medals will be wrapped in plastic.

Awards Ceremony: (Subject to cancellation) Awards area will be increased to allow for a ceremony with proper social distancing protocols in mind. Awards will be given by staff member wearing mask and gloves.
